Pixid were proud partners of The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) for their annual REC Awards ceremony which took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 25 November 2021.
This prestigious and exciting recruitment industry event recognised and celebrated the excellence and professionalism of nominees across 15 categories, covering both individual achievement and company-wide success. It was an important opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of businesses and individual recruiters in helping keep the UK economy afloat throughout the pandemic.
Pixid’s Group President, Étienne Colella and UK & Ireland CEO Mark Kieve were happy to present the awards in the category ‘Recruitment Team of the Year’ (Winner: ASAP Pertemps) and the overall winner’s award ‘Recruiter of the Year’ (Winner: Tracey Beecham).
Mims Davies MP, Minister for Employment was present at the event and gave an engaging speech, a reflection of the strong ties between the REC and the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP) whose partnership has been ongoing since 2012, with the aim of working together to help people access and progress in work.
The Minister highlighted the challenges of the pandemic, the lessons we can learn from it and her optimism regarding opportunities for recruiters to help broaden the workforce to include those who are often excluded from it.
She called on the recruitment industry to: “disrupt the labour market in terms of giving opportunities and chances to people and make sure that we are absolutely committed to getting everybody into progressing in work“
